Image
There's a very subtle lesson given in this legendary book by Sun Tzu and you can certainly relate the findings more accurate if you are interested in war histories.  There are direct implementation of strategies, step by step, which will make you insane. In those times, when there were no documentaries or world wide references for trainers, Sun Tzu have explained an exact way of cheat sheet for warriors to follow in their battle field. Even though he accepts the fact that it is always preferred to avoid the involvement in fight, but if someone has to fight, it should be perfectly planned and implemented to win.  Honestly saying, I sometimes have related the strategies with numerous instances of movie excerpts, shown while war scenes. If given a closer look, each and every plans that are jotted down in this book, are in sync with victory juice.  So, if you are looking for the book, to deep dive on the making of history, you should read this piece to understand the planning and plott

Book Review #37: Nanda Devi by Sandeep Madadi

Image
Have you ever witnessed an outstanding  experience through someone’s eyes?  “Nanda Devi” by Sandeep Madadi is definitely a masterpiece, which will transport you to the beauty of the spectacular mountain views of Himalayan Ranges. This book gives you chills of heavenly peace through and through.  This book will show you the lives of many dreamers whose vision led them to accomplish something bigger. Author has shared his journey to the magnificent Nanda Devi ranges. He put down all his tribulations and excitement, with utmost bravery and humbleness towards the local deity.  The expedition to the second highest mountain of India, the realism of 7,816 m high is penned down with lots and lots of hardships. There are so many related folk tales mentioned in the book, which will surely drag your attention to know more about the beauty of Nanda Devi.  Author has started this trip with his other two not-so-mountaineer friends, which reflect so much naive innocence and the urge to fulfill a dead

Book Review #36: The Naani Diaries by Riva Razdan

Image
There is something nostalgic about this book, which surely might have dragged me unconsciously to complete it in one go. I am honestly not into the kind of genre where there are words similar to “romance” or “Indian wedding”, but the title has my heart. It is the sole reason to form the perfect mood to unravel the journey of old times and an experienced opinion. “The Naani Diaries'' by Riva Razdan is a perfect blend of family bond and patriarchal thinking for women. It has raised an accurate concern for all the women out there, who somewhere slide by societal rituals and perceptions. The author has not only shown the side of a girl’s dreams but also revealed the realities of those fantasies.  This is a romantic story. No doubt. But hear me out, this is not a regular-boring-cheesy-with-evergreen-scripted-line type of romantic story. If I have fallen for this, any non-romantic person can read this at least for once. Giving you a very brief narration - there’s an independent Ind

Book Review #35: "You Are Being Watched" by Diptendu Chakraborty

Image
This book is about the family rivalries and unexpected twists of actions. There's a total roller-coaster of personal emotions, societal norms, peer pressures, responsibilities and blame-game. The story revolves around two families, and a murder mystery. You will not be bored for sure while reading and can finish in one go. Also, leaving the end with cliffhanger is a well constructed move by author. This book has so much potential, but somewhere it got ruined with editing and compiling team. Writing style is lucid and average. No doubt, this story can be considered as a proper crime patrol episode.

Book Review #34: Yuva Man by Amareshwar Pandey

This book is a collection of heartwarming glimpses of many emotions. It shows the precious relationship among homely feeling, love, inspiration, patriotism and utmost dedication. "मुद्दतों से जिस हृदय में थी बेकली आज सहसा उस हृदय में हो गयी चाँदनी ।" There are various instances where you can find the innocence of eyes and soul. There are many instances which reflects the curiosity of surroundings. The poems are formed in 40 sections which perfectly justifies the title " युवा मन". Talking about writing skills, Poet has accurately portrayed the small details behind the scenes. Words very lucid and can be easily decrypted.
