#NaPoWriMo2023 : DAY 7

Ground yourself

You can hear

the bustling noise of

early brooming street roads,

rustling newspapers and dried leaves,

steaming tea and bisibelebath,

known neighborhood hawkers,

the symphony of urban start,

the cacophony of school buses,

motivated corporate ubers,

and I love how this city

captures rawness

through ironical euphony.

You can feel

taste of streaming dosa at corner,

“Namma” tag everywhere,

the short conversations while pooling,

the need to getaway to Nandi hills,

long walks in the darkness,

familiar faces behind the id cards,

the pain of traffic jams and rents,

and I love how this city

sense the same worldliness

through re-experiencing lives.

You can see

blossoms against the sky,

green lines of KSRTC buses,

switching sides of your colleagues,

vibrant Kormangala’s nights,

chatty cumulus clouds,

flyovers and electronic city route ways,

long drives to happening airport,

and I love how my city

looks through your eyes.
