Book Review #3 : "How to Stop Time" by Matt Haig

I am short of words, and, yes, time attitude. This is a gem. Matt Haig is nothing but a creator of fictional reality, one can ever dream of. I am sold, I am now a new-and-everlasting fangirl of this great human’s mind and words.

There are tons and millions of things I liked about the story and the pouring words:

• Comparisons. Correlation. Connection. Its like every sentence has its connections with the wave and time and era and world. Author has put so much effort on relating things with unreal surroundings, and yet it sounds so profound and alive. He compared memories with innumerable no of instances, he molded time with all possible tactics and curations, he weaved history with tons of past references, he amalgamated the politics and wars and cultures and food under the same roof, he tied a knot of today’s necessities with beyond centuries’ ignorance, he maintained the urge to live in the rhythms of music through different ages, through innumerable instruments, through varied songs and lyrics. Its like going on loop in love with his words.

• The story. How fascinatingly author has created this masterpiece. I mean, I am both spellbound and devastated with fact of encountering fiction with so much sensibility.

• The Characters. You will run out of your mind, by counting the lives of a man/woman, who is blessed, or say cursed, with anergia. The experiences, the authenticity of patterns, nuts and bolts of flavors around, solidity of each phase with immersed reputations, the myths and superstitions of each generation. Everything is to the point.

• Definitions of TIME. I must say, I have never read so much of exemplification, time has to offer.

• Love. In the name of love. In the name of togetherness, even after ages. Author has compiled so many memories, at an exact amount of tenderness. The term “Rose”, first feeling of kiss, finding love after centuries, and yet the pitch is same, all along. This language of feeling can never go extinct in many moons. “People you love never die” – one sentence can take you on a roller coaster ride of goosebumps. This one sentence will give you an assuring hug for lifetime, to love, and just love with full heart.

Must read for all souls, who just can’t ignore the fact of being alive and healthy. Must read for all souls, who love to live in parallel world – sipping wine near Australian beaches. Must read for all souls, who want to live for ages, in memory and time.
