Book Review #8 : "Papercut" by Kshitij Anand, Sudarsan Nagarajan

Papercut, a detective piece, is written by Kshitij Anand and Sudarsan Nagaraja.

Title itself was enough to start this book right away. The story, blurry plots, aura of Arson, detailed investigations, everything is to the point and abstract. Author has maintained both the back stories and suspense in line.

Numbers started dialing when Vanessa, a forgotten famed detective, appeared onscreen with fishy Bollywood's sad flashbacks. Her way of interrogating cases, and dealing with suspects are somewhat unique and rude. But the story doesn't revolve around only on these patterns. A fire incident happened at under-construction building. It took a messy turn while investigation, when it joined the dots of an ongoing probable case of missing girl.

I liked the perspicuous writing style of author, which gives more exposure to the common audiences. Author has fabulously held the grip on tenterhooks.

I found few statements quite intriguing in this book, below are some of them:
*It looked like the equipment in the room protested the meeting.
*‘What’s the point of doing something like this, when you’re always scared?’

Must read for all those who look for suspense stories, that can be finished in one go.
